Stretching Like a Cat

Sometimes I'll find myself stretching out on the couch or sleeping in a strange position and I'll think that I must be copying Arthur and Beowulf. Do we start acting like our cats or do they start acting like us?

I've given up trying to have a life. We might as for well accept they rule us.

This picture is so cute! He looks like he's smiling in his sleep.

I think we subconsiosly see the possibilities because of what the cats teach us. For example, I never saw the possibility of curling up on the couch for hours until a cat showed me how. And now you have learned the possibility of sleeping upside down with your paws in the air, until Arthur showed you how.

They use their "kitty telephathy" on us (at least mine do). Whenever I'm in the living room and my kitties are near me they all nap at the same time, so I start napping right with them. It's the "kitty telepathy".

I call it their sleep spell. I'll be perfectly awake and alert and then my boys will come along, purring their siren song and next thing I know I've taken a nap I never intended to.

This sleeping pose makes me want...to...take...a...nap.

Just a darling expression on his face! Love it. It indeed looks like he is smiling, and very content. I think our kitties teach us about unconventional validation of them and of our selves.

What a lovely blog. Did you know there are some yoga positions that are based around animals such as cats. No wonder cats are so laid back!!

There's nothing quite so relaxing as the sound and feel of a purring cat... puts me right to sleep!
