New Careers?

I think the boys have a new career path in mind. Yesterday I made the mistake of leaving my purse open on the bedroom floor. I walked into the bedroom to find that Arthur had removed some tissues from my purse and was shredding them. Beowulf had removed my wallet from my purse and had pulled a receipt from it and was in the midst of shredding it.

Think I can hire them out as professional shredders? Get companies to give me their sensitive documents so the boys can shred them?

Of course the whole going into my wallet thing has been put into prospective this morning as I found Beowulf tearing open an envelope on Avram's end table. Ironically it wasn’t just any envelope it was from the pet insurance company, a reminder that we have to renew the policy we have for the boys.

I think I need to check my wallet and make sure he didn’t take my credit card and is now booting up the laptop and paying his insurance online.

Haha that is funny. =)

I have a question, if you don't mind. Do you feel like the insurance has been worthy, and if so, what insurance do you use/recommend? I am so lost in all of this =(

We use VPI pet insurance http://www.petinsurance.com/

We still pay out of pocket for all their check ups and yearly shots.
Its really peace of mind for us knowing that heaven forbid something happens we will have help covering the medical bills

Your boys are clever! In our 4 cat household, we have one cat that loves to chew on any magazines or paperback books left on the coffee table, another one loves to chew on plastic grocery bags and lick envelopes or photos if left unattended. They keep you on your toes!

Thanks for the tip on pet insurance. We just adopted a cat who is 2-years old and we were really unsure about it. Have you used it already? Why did you chose to pay for check ups and shots on your own?

We thankfully have not had an occasion to use our pet insurance.

We chose to pay out of pocket for check ups and shots because in the long run its actually easier to pay that once a year than to pay the extra fees and the hassel of meeting a deductable and getting reimbursed for the money we spent etc.

Having them shred for money might help with some of their bills (and save on buying so much toilet paper)

I have a suggestion... why not give them some fresh new tissue paper to sit on, crinkle and shred? My kitty Harley has loved tissue paper since she was a kitten (she's almost 15 now). I give her new "paper" and I talk it up real big when I lay it down. She very proudly sits on "her paper". I have to put "new paper" down every week or so! She doesn't shred it, but I'll bet your boys would, and would love it too! Give it a try! They sound a bit bored, and if they like to shred, let them! You'll enjoy it too, guaranteed. (from socidoc)

Have a nice time. Funny what cats will do from time to time, we are always finding things hidden around the house!
